Swing for the Stars: Blue Jays Day at Honeywood Ball Diamond.

In a place where teamwork, sportsmanship, and cheering for your teammates make every moment exciting, something special is happening at Active Lives Canada Get Up and Move Camp.

At Honeywood Ball Diamond, campers will step into the world of baseball, inspired by the energy and spirit of the Toronto Blue Jays. On Blue Jays Day, participants become players, coaches, and fans all at once. From batting practice to field games and team challenges, every activity celebrates movement, skill-building, and cooperation. Campers will rotate through stations that focus on fun, participation, and teamwork, while discovering the joy of playing ball together. This is Blue Jays Day at Honeywood Ball Diamond, where everyone is a part of the game.

Blue Jays Day Schedule Location: Honeywood Ball Diamond

9:45 a.m. – Arrival & Team Huddle Campers arrive and are divided into teams, each with their own colour or mascot. Teams gather at their “dugouts” to get ready for a full day of baseball fun.

10:00 a.m. – Create Your Team Spirit Campers design team banners, signs, and cheers. Each team practices their chant to show pride and encourage teammates throughout the day.

11:15 a.m. – Baseball Skill Stations Teams rotate through inclusive baseball-inspired stations, including: Batting practice with soft or foam balls, Catching and throwing drills, Base running and relay races, Team coordination games. Points are earned for participation, effort, teamwork, and cheering for others.

12:15 p.m. – Lunch at the Ballpark. Teams eat together in a shaded area. Spirit points are awarded for cooperation, helpfulness, and sportsmanship.

1:00 p.m. – Water Play Cool Down to stay refreshed in the summer sun, campers take part in water-based activities such as: Sponge toss relays, Water bucket challenges, Mist spray “cool down” games. Activities are safe, supervised, and adapted to each camper’s comfort level.

2:00 p.m. – Team Baseball Games Campers participate in modified baseball games, including: Mini matches with small teams, Foam bat or soft ball games, Fun fielding and catching challenges. All games are adapted to encourage full participation and teamwork.

2:45 p.m. – Home Run Obstacle Course Teams complete a cooperative obstacle course featuring movement, coordination, cheering, and problem-solving. Supporting teammates is part of the challenge.

3:30 p.m. – Team Showcase & Reflection Campers share their team chants, banners, and favourite moments of the day. Teams reflect on sportsmanship, teamwork, and what makes a great player.

3:50 p.m. – Blue Jays Closing Ceremony: All campers are recognized for effort, teamwork, creativity, and spirit. The day concludes with a celebration of participation and fun, just like a winning game.

4:00 p.m. – Load the Bus & Head Home Campers leave proud, energized, and smiling after a full day of baseball skills, team spirit, and summer fun.
