About Active Lives Day Program
Active Lives is a day program for post-secondary adults with exceptionalities/special needs. The program serves adults 18 years of age and older with Autism, Fragile X, Deaf, Blind, Down Syndrome, Pervasive Developmental Disorders and other Neurological Disorders. In 2014 this unique organization was created by a group of concerned parents with a dream of better adulthood for their children. Active Lives opened its doors in 2015 offering a safe space where adults with unique abilities could continue their education post-high school. These parents gained the support of Dufferin County and as such were able to foster an environment where their participants could thrive.

"Courage does not always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying “I will try again tomorrow!"
