Playdium
Trip Day: Bowling Day at Playdium
At Active Lives Canada Get Up and Move Camp, bowling day is designed to feel exciting, social, and just the right amount of busy. We will be heading to Playdium for a fun-filled outing that includes bowling, video games, and familiar camp routines brought into a community setting. Participants will bowl in small, supported groups, taking turns, cheering one another on, and enjoying the rhythm of the game. Between lanes, campers can explore video games and interactive activities, choosing what interests them while staying connected to their group.
Days like this matter because they offer something different while still feeling predictable and safe. The sounds, lights, and movement at Playdium create an engaging atmosphere that keeps energy flowing and attention focused, while the structure of bowling provides a clear start, finish, and sense of accomplishment. Camp staff are present throughout the outing to support pacing, transitions, and comfort, helping everyone stay regulated and confident as they move from one activity to the next.
We will pause mid-day to enjoy our packed lunches together, giving everyone a chance to slow down, refuel, and socialize before jumping back into the fun. Eating together, returning to an activity, and ending the day on a positive note all reinforce familiar routines in a new environment. By blending active play, choice, and shared experiences, this outing supports connection, independence, and joy in a way that feels natural, inclusive, and unmistakably fun.
