Sports Day Schedule

Location: Mono Community Centre

9:45 a.m. – Arrival & Team Formation
Campers arrive and are divided into teams with fun team names. Each team receives a colour or badge to identify their group for the day.

10:00 a.m. – Warm-Up & Skill Circuit
Teams rotate through stations designed to build movement skills, coordination, and confidence:

  • Agility ladders and cone drills
     

  • Throwing and catching challenges
     

  • Jumping and balance activities
     

  • Mini-skill competitions with points for participation
     

Staff provide guidance and support to ensure all campers can succeed and stay engaged.

11:15 a.m. – Indoor Team Games
Teams take part in inclusive, high-energy court games such as:

  • Modified basketball or bench ball
     

  • Dodgeball variations with soft balls
     

  • Relay races and obstacle challenges
     

Emphasis is placed on teamwork, cheering for teammates, and celebrating effort.

12:15 p.m. – Lunch & Team Time
Campers eat together in a shaded area or an indoor space. Spirit points are given for cooperation, helping peers, and positive sportsmanship.

1:00 p.m. – Outdoor Movement & Water Breaks
If the weather permits, campers enjoy outdoor movement stations or field games:

  • Soccer or kickball challenges
     

  • Tag and capture-the-flag style games
     

  • Movement-based water stations to cool off
     

Activities are supervised and adapted for comfort and ability.

2:00 p.m. – Sports Challenge Circuit
Campers rotate through additional sports stations for friendly competition:

  • Target toss and accuracy games
     

  • Team obstacle relays
     

  • Cooperative movement challenges
     

Points focus on teamwork, encouragement, and participation rather than speed.

2:45 p.m. – Final Team Tournament
Teams come together for a final, inclusive tournament combining skills from the day. Everyone contributes to their team’s success through cheering, strategy, and movement.

3:30 p.m. – Reflection & Team Showcase
Campers share favourite moments, discuss teamwork, and celebrate the skills they practiced. Teams reflect on cooperation, fun, and sportsmanship.

3:50 p.m. – Sports Day Closing Ceremony
All campers are recognized for effort, participation, teamwork, and positive spirit. Winning teams are celebrated, but everyone leaves feeling proud of their contributions.

4:00 p.m. – Head Home
Campers leave energized, happy, and proud after a full day of movement, skill-building, and team fun at Mono Community Centre.
