Wet & Wild

At Active Lives Canada Get Up and Move Camp, our Wet’n’Wild Toronto trip is designed to feel exciting, refreshing, and well supported.

We will be spending the day at the water park, enjoying a mix of slides, splash areas, and relaxation zones while maintaining familiar camp routines in a new and energetic environment. Participants will experience the park in small, supported groups, allowing them to choose activities that match their comfort levels—whether that’s wading in splash pools, floating along the lazy river, or trying gentle water slides. Campers are encouraged to take turns, cheer one another on, and enjoy shared moments of fun in the water. Days like this are important because they introduce adventure while still feeling predictable and safe. The sounds of splashing water, laughter, and movement create a lively sensory experience that keeps energy high, while structured supports help participants manage transitions and make choices with confidence. Camp staff are present at all times to support safety, pacing, and emotional regulation, ensuring everyone feels secure as they move between attractions, rest breaks, and group check-ins. Midway through the day, we will pause to enjoy our packed lunches together in a designated rest area. This break provides time to cool down, refuel, and reconnect before heading back out for more water fun. Sharing a meal, returning to preferred activities, and ending the day with positive experiences help reinforce routine within an exciting community setting. By combining movement, sensory play, choice, and consistent support, this Wet’n’Wild outing promotes independence, confidence, and connection—making it a memorable and joy-filled camp experience.
