Spy vs. Spy: Mission Day at Fergus Community Centre.
In a place where secrets, codes, and clever moves rule the day, something thrilling is happening at Active Lives Canada Get Up and Move Camp.
At Fergus Community Centre, campers will step into the world of spies and secret agents, where every movement, clue, and choice could crack the case. Spy vs. Spy Day invites campers to become detectives, agents, and covert operatives. They will work in teams to complete missions, decode messages, and navigate obstacle courses designed to challenge their minds and bodies. From high-energy games and stealth challenges to creative spy gadgets and secret code crafts, every activity is designed to be inclusive, engaging, and full of adventure. This is Spy vs. Spy Day, where curiosity, teamwork, and clever thinking make everyone a top agent.
Spy vs. Spy Day Schedule Location: Fergus Community Centre
9:45 a.m. – Arrival & Mission Briefing Campers arrive and are grouped into secret agent teams. Each team receives a spy dossier with their mission objectives and code names for the day.
10:00 a.m. – Spy Gadget Creation Campers rotate through creative stations to craft their spy gear: Invisible ink pens and “top-secret” notebooks, DIY spy masks and badges, Code-breaking gadgets (cipher wheels, secret stamps). Teams create a spy chant or secret handshake to build identity and teamwork.
11:15 a.m. – Covert Movement Challenge Circuit Teams rotate through spy-themed movement stations: Laser Maze: navigate a “web of lasers” (streamers or ropes) without touching. Stealth Relay: move quietly and carefully through obstacles. Target Practice: foam dart or beanbag “spy shots” at secret targets. Agent Puzzles: decode messages and solve riddles to advance. Points are awarded for teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving.
12:15 p.m. – Lunch at HQ Campers enjoy a meal together while reviewing clues, reflecting on missions so far, and strategizing for the afternoon. Spirit points are given for cooperation and helping peers.
1:00 p.m. – Secret Agent Water Challenge Campers cool off with water-based spy games: Sponge toss “water bombs” to hit enemy targets, Bucket relay “transport the intel” Water spray obstacle course for stealth training. All activities are supervised, adapted to comfort levels, and focused on fun and participation.
2:00 p.m. – Spy vs. Spy Team Missions Large-group challenges include: Capture the Flag: complete with “secret intel” zones, Code Cracking Hunt: search the room/yard for hidden messages, Obstacle Mission Course: combines balance, agility, and cheering teammates. Campers participate at their own pace while supporting their spy team.
2:45 p.m. – Final Spy Showdown Teams complete a cooperative, high-energy final mission where they put all their skills to the test. Stealth, strategy, and teamwork determine who “cracks the case.”
3:30 p.m. – Spy Debrief & Showcase Campers share spy gadgets, decoded messages, and favourite moments from the day. Teams reflect on problem-solving, collaboration, and creativity.
3:50 p.m. – Closing Ceremony & Agent Recognition All campers are recognized for effort, teamwork, creativity, and spy spirit. Top agents are celebrated, but every camper leaves proud of their secret agent achievements.
4:00 p.m. – Load the Bus & Head Home Campers leave energized, inspired, and ready to share stories of adventure and mystery from a day full of secret missions and fun.
